Excavator Repair in Fontana

Strip an excavator down and it is basically a hydraulic system that happens to have an engine bolted to it — and hydraulics happen to be the heart of this shop. In Fontana we repair full-size and mid-size excavators of every make: main pumps, control valves, swing and travel motors, the cylinders on the boom, arm, and bucket, final drives, undercarriage components, and engines, with the rebuilding and machining done right here. (Compact minis are covered on their own page.) If a machine digs, we can get it digging properly again.

Excavator jobs that come through weekly

Diagnosing main pumps, rebuilding them, and setting them back to specification. Servicing swing motors and their gearboxes. Rebuilding travel motors and final drives. Resealing cylinders, fitting new rods, and honing barrels. Pins, bushings, and line-boring on booms and sticks. Tracks, rollers, and idlers looked after. Diesel engines repaired across the makes. And every teardown is documented — you see the pressures, flows, and measurements before you ever see a quote.

Complete reconditioning and repaint work

Cat M322F Wheeled Excavator — Brought Back and Repainted

This Cat M322F wheeled excavator arrived looking rough and tired from the road. Our crew masked it up, prepared every panel, and sprayed fresh Cat yellow right here in the Fontana yard — then sent it out the gate looking like a different machine. It is the same start-to-finish reconditioning we offer on excavators and heavy equipment generally: bodywork, paint, decals, and detailing.

We measure. We do not guess.

Guesswork gets expensive fast on excavator hydraulics — a machine that feels weak could be suffering at the pump, a valve, a motor, or all three at once. Our approach is to test first, record everything with photos and video, and quote in writing, then carry out the rebuild in-house with worn parts measured and shown to you. Pick-up and delivery are free where applicable. Hours are Monday–Friday, 6 AM–5 PM, with a rush line that runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Questions we hear often

What excavator makes do you repair?

Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Kobelco, Volvo, John Deere, Case, and others — our brand pages go into each line in detail. Frankly, the hydraulic bench is indifferent to the badge on the counterweight.

One side of my excavator is slow and weak — what is going on?

Weakness on just one side typically traces back to a travel motor, a final drive, or the pump section that feeds that side. We run pressure and flow tests and walk you through the readings.

Is undercarriage work something you handle?

It is — tracks, rollers, idlers, sprockets, and tensioning systems, along with the final drives that sit behind them.
