Rebuilding Hydraulic Motors & Final Drives

Compact machines and excavators so often meet their end at the track drive motor or final drive — and rebuilding those units is a specialty here. Hydraulic motors and final drives are rebuilt in-house, covering teardown, measurement, renewal of gears and bearings, restoration of seals and surfaces, and load testing before the unit is fitted back onto the machine.

The motor matters — and so does the circuit around it

When a drive motor fails, it sheds metal into the hydraulic circuit — and a dirty circuit will return the favour by damaging the fresh rebuild. That is why every motor rebuild here comes with the contamination discussion: what the oil and the filter are telling us, what needs to be flushed, and everywhere else the metal may have reached. It is that discipline that keeps our rebuilds rebuilt.

Questions customers ask us most

Do final drives get rebuilt here, or only replaced?

Rebuilding is what we do with them in-house — gears, bearings, seals and surfaces are renewed and the unit is then tested. Replacement only becomes the answer when a housing can no longer be restored, and we will show you the evidence for that call.

My loader has lost drive on one side — is the motor to blame?

Quite often it is — though the pump section feeding it can be responsible instead. Inspection separates motor, drive and pump before any money goes on parts.
